The Grammy 2023 awards at Crypto.com Arena in L.A. was the culmination of a week of parties and saw music’s biggest stars showcasing fearless red-carpet style.
Steve Lacy was nominated for four Grammys and wore Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello for the event. He was dressed in a double-breasted tuxedo with accessories such as a silk pocket square, brooch, shoes, and sunglasses.
Sam Smith, who won a Grammy for best pop duo/group performance, wore a custom Valentino look by Pierpaolo Piccioli for the event. He opted for opulence in a red silk coat, top hat with a veil accent, and gloves. Piccioli also dressed Petras and Smith’s dancers who accompanied them on the red carpet.
Lizzo arrived at the Grammy Awards wearing a custom Dolce & Gabbana look, consisting of a silk mikado opera coat with handmade silk flowers and a corset gown with Swarovski-crystal detailing. She also wore crystal-detailed shoes and sheer fingerless gloves by the same brand. During her performance, Lizzo changed into a second Dolce & Gabbana look and later a silver lamé ruched dress when she accepted her Grammy for record of the year.
Doja Cat wore a custom look by Atelier Versace to the Grammy Awards. The outfit consisted of a figure-hugging gown made of black vinyl with a twisted shoulder strap and a naked back, paired with matching vinyl gloves. As a star of the recent haute-couture shows, Doja Cat did not disappoint with her fashion choice.
Jennifer Lopez, one of the early presenters at the Grammy Awards, wore a sheer navy gown by Gucci with ruffles, beaded sleeves, and seamed crystal detailing. She paired the gown with diamond and sapphire high jewelry by Bulgari, including two Serpenti necklaces totaling over 150 carats of diamonds.
Harry Styles, the winner for best pop vocal album, wore a bespoke harlequin-patterned jumpsuit by EgonLab embellished with over 250,000 Swarovski crystals for the red carpet. He changed into a Gucci suit to accept his trophy and wore a fully embellished fringed, beaded jumpsuit by Gucci for his performance.
Beyoncé was seen in the audience at the Grammy Awards wearing a silver metallic Gucci gown. She later changed into a black mirrored corset and velvet skirt custom-designed by Daniel Roseberry for Schiaparelli Haute Couture. After the broadcast, she posted a thank you to her Bey Hive on Instagram wearing a custom look by Olivier Rousteing for Balmain and styled by Marni Senofonte.
Shania Twain set the tone on the red carpet at the Grammy Awards by wearing a beaded satin suit and matching hat by London-based designer Harris Reed, a corset by Agent Provocateur, shoes by Roger Vivier, and diamonds by Messika. She later changed into a skirt suit and cape by Thom Browne when presenting the award for best country solo performance, which was won by Willie Nelson. She accepted the award on behalf of Nelson, who was not in attendance.
